Congratulations New Life Members Mike Wesolowski and Greg Villano

Monday, May 6, 2013  Flagtown Fire would like to congratulate two of our members for achieving Life Member status.  On Monday May 6th, the members voted to confer Life Member status upon Ex-Chief Mike Wesolowski and Firefighter Greg Villano.  Life members are members who have dedicated themselves to protecting our community by providing 20 years of service as a member of Flagtown Fire.

Congratulations to Greg and Mike!


   


 

Happy 18th Birthday Firefighter Kevin Masterson!

Thursday, March 14, 2013  The members of Flagtown Fire would like to take a minute to wish Kevin Masterson a happy birthday and congratulate him on his move from Junior to Active status.  On March 14th, Kevin turned 18.  Kevin joined the company in March of 2012 as a junior member.  In the year he has been a member of Flagtown Fire, Kevin has demonstrated his loyalty and dedication to the department over and over.  He is a regular attendee at drills, work details, and fire calls.  He is always eager to help out and to learn new things.  Happy birthday Kevin and stay safe out there!


     



 

Congratulations Marshall and Jacqueline on Your Engagement!

Tuesday, February 26, 2013  The members of Flagtown Fire would like to congratulate Firefighter Marshall Farley and his beautiful fiancé Jacqueline Harbison on their engagement!  Marshall and Jacqueline met and started dating 6 years ago at Monmouth University.  Marshall proposed on February 16th while they were on vacation in Florida.  He popped the question at the Whistle Stop Grill & Bar in Clearwater Florida.  Marshal surprised Jacqueline by going up on stage with the band and asking her to join him.  He then proposed to her on stage.  They spent the rest of their trip soaking up sun at Universal Studios and Saint Petersburg.  They have not yet set a date for the wedding.  Congratulations to both of you!  You two are a great couple and we all know you will have an amazing life together.

USMC Lance Corporal Joey Giarrusso Deploys

On Friday January 11th, 2013 Flagtown Fireman and USMC Lance Corporal Joseph Giarrusso deploys with Combat Logistics Regiment 2 to a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Kajaki, Afghanistan in the Helmand Province.  During Joe’s 8 month combat tour, his primary responsibility will be to act as part of the Arrival and Departure Airfield Control Group (ADACG).  Joe and his group will also be responsible for maintaining control at the strategically important Kajaki Dam.

From his decision to become a fireman and join our ranks to his decision to become a United States Marine and wear our nation’s uniform, Joe has shown the willingness to put himself in harm’s way to help others.

We are all proud of you Joey.  Proud of your service here in Flagtown, and prouder still of your service to our Country.  We will all miss you while you are gone and we all look forward to your safe return in August.  Stay safe brother!


     



 

Congrats Dave and Caitlyn on Your Engagement

Monday, July 2, 2012  The members of Flagtown Fire would like to say congratulations to Deputy Chief Dave Foelsch and his beautiful fiancé Caitlyn Buckley on their engagement!  Dave and Caitlyn have known each other for about 10 years and they started dating 4 ½ years ago.  Dave popped the question on July 2nd while they were on a cruise to Bermuda.  They have not yet set a date for the wedding.  Congratulations Foelschy and C-Bucks!  You two are a great couple and we all know you will have an amazing life together.

Congratulations On The New Job Josh

Sunday, June 17, 2012  The members of Flagtown Fire would like to congratulate Josh Jansky on his new job.  On June 17th, Josh started his first day as a paid fireman for the Prince George County Fire/EMS Department at Station 841 in Prince George County Maryland.  Station 841 houses a paramedic engine, an ambulance, and a mass causality unit.   Josh entered the Prince George County Fire/EMS Training Academy (FETA) with 26 other recruits on March 12th of this year and graduated on June 11th. 

Josh started his career in the fire service in 2008 when he joined the Lock Haven Fire Department while studying Criminal Justice at Lock Haven University.  When he came home from college in 2009 he joined Flagtown Fire and has been an active and dedicated member of our department ever since.

Everyone at Station 36 is proud of Josh and what he has accomplished.  We all wish him continued success in his new career and look forward to hanging out with him when he comes home to visit.  We know you are going to do great things in PG county Josh.  Stay safe brother.


     



 

Nick Jandoli Completes His Rookie Period

Thursday, June 14, 2012  Congratulations to Nick Jandoli for completing his rookie period and moving to full active membership!  Nick is one of our most active members.  He has shown a commitment to the fire service and a desire to learn.  Nick has demonstrated that he has the knowledge required to move past the rookie status.  Congratulations Nick and stay safe out there!


   


 

Thanks For The Boat Operations Drill

Saturday, June 9, 2012  On Saturday June 9th, Captain Rich Dziminski set up a boat operations drill for Flagtown Fire/ Rescue.  Deptuy Chief Dave Foelsch and Captain Dziminski conducted land based training, instructing the members in throw bag deployment techniques while Lieutenant Eric Regiec remained in the boat teaching members basic piloting skills.

Thanks Foelsch, Diz, and Regs!  It was a great drill and we all learned a lot.
